Orbit HR

SQL Payroll alternative

A lighter, macOS-ready alternative to SQL Payroll

SQL Payroll is an established Malaysian payroll system with a large support network. If you want something lighter, that runs on a Mac too and costs once instead of a licence plus yearly fees, Orbit HR is worth a look.

SQL Payroll has served Malaysian businesses for years, sits naturally beside SQL Account, and is well known to accountants and dealers. It is also a Windows product, usually a licence with an ongoing support and update fee, and heavier than many small offices need. Orbit HR covers statutory payroll, leave, attendance, claims and self-service in a modern app you buy once for RM249, on macOS as well as Windows.

What people like about SQL Payroll

  • +Mature statutory reporting built up over many years

Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp (+60 11-2600 6427).

Does Orbit HR run on a Mac?+

Yes. Orbit HR is a native macOS app as well as Windows, from the same one-time licence. SQL Payroll is traditionally a Windows desktop product, so a Mac office usually ends up running it in a virtual machine or on a separate PC.

Are there annual fees with Orbit HR?+

No. RM249 at the early-bird price, RM349 normally, once, with free updates and unlimited employees. Established desktop payroll systems commonly charge a licence and then a support or update fee most years, so compare the five-year total, not just the first invoice.

Can I move my payroll history across?+

You can bring employees, opening balances and year-to-date figures over so PCB and EA stay correct for the rest of the year. Mid-year is the usual switching point. Message us on WhatsApp before you start and we will tell you exactly what to export.
