Get Orbit HR for your device

Orbit HR is free to download. Install it, then activate with your license key: one license covers every platform, with unlimited employees and no per-employee fee. Available now for macOS (Intel and Apple silicon) and Windows 10 and 11. Buy a license.

A one-time security prompt is normal. On macOS, Orbit HR is signed with a Developer ID but not yet notarised by Apple; on Windows it is not yet code-signed. Either way the OS shows a warning on first open. It's safe. The install guide below shows the exact steps, or message us on WhatsApp.

Installing

How to install

Orbit HR is safe. The one-time prompts below appear only because the app isn't code-signed yet (a paid certificate we're adding), not because anything is wrong. Your employee data never leaves your device.

macOS

Apple silicon · macOS 11+

Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Orbit HR into your Applications folder.

Open it from Applications. macOS blocks it the first time (“can’t be opened… unidentified developer”), then click Done. This is expected.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway next to Orbit HR, then Open to confirm. It opens normally from then on.

If macOS instead says Orbit HR is “damaged”, that’s just the download flag on unsigned apps. Open Terminal, run this, then reopen the app:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Orbit HR.app"

Windows

Windows 10 & 11 · 64-bit

Run the downloaded .exe installer.

If you see the blue “Windows protected your PC” screen, click More info, then Run anyway.

Follow the installer prompts. Orbit HR opens when it finishes.

The installer puts Orbit HR in your Start menu and on your desktop.

After installing, open Orbit HR and paste your license key to activate. Don't have one yet? It's a one-time purchase covering unlimited employees. Grab a license and you're set.
