Delete your data

Orbit Finance keeps your books on your own device, so you delete them yourself on that device. We hold only a few records, such as a hashed trial device ID and your licence details. Email support@orbitsuite.io and we will delete them within 30 days, except records Malaysian law requires us to keep.

1. How do you delete books on your device?

Your ledger, invoices, customers, staff and reports live only on your phone, tablet or computer. We never receive them, so only you can delete them:

  1. Phone or tablet: uninstall Orbit Finance. Android and iOS delete all of the app's data with it.
  2. Mac: quit the app, move it to the Bin, then delete the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Orbit Finance.
  3. Windows: uninstall the app, then delete the folder %APPDATA%\Orbit Finance.
  4. Chromebook: uninstall the app, then delete ~/.config/Orbit Finance in the Linux files.

Export a backup first if you may need your books later. Deleted books cannot be recovered by us.

2. Ask us to delete the records we hold

Send an email to support@orbitsuite.io with the subject Delete my data. Tell us the email address you used with us and, if you have one, your licence key. We may ask one question to confirm the request is yours. We reply within 7 days and finish within 30 days.

3. What we delete

  • Trial record: the hashed device ID used to run the three-month free trial.
  • Enquiries and feature requests: your name, email, phone and message.
  • Sync workspace: the encrypted copy of your books and its metadata, if you used sync. We cannot read it, but we can delete it.
  • Payment proofs: any receipt image or file you uploaded with an order.
  • Certificates: certificates you issued are revoked and the holder details removed.

4. What we keep, and for how long

  • Order and invoice records (name, email, company, amount, date): kept for 7 years, because Malaysian tax law requires businesses to keep sales records for that long. They are then deleted.
  • A licence revocation entry (the licence ID only): kept while the licence could still be used, so a deleted licence cannot be reactivated.

5. Data held by services you connected

If you connected Orbit Finance to another service, such as an AI provider, a payment gateway, Google Drive, WhatsApp, Telegram or LHDN MyInvois, the data you sent there is held by that service under your own account with them. Delete it with that service directly.

6. Who handles your request

Orbit Finance is operated by Mushnor Heritage Resources (Registration No. 201803323851 (002884313-T)). We handle deletion requests under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. See the privacy policy for your other rights.
