Set up Orbit Finance step by step
Download the current app, install it for your platform, activate your licence, complete company setup, and bring over the records you need. Your books remain on your device, and the same guided workflow works whether you start fresh or move from another system.

How do you get from download to working books?
Follow the five steps in order. Each one leaves your data ready for the next.
Download for your platform
Use the current Downloads page for macOS, Windows, Android or Chromebook.
Install the app
Open the installer and follow the platform guide.
- macOS: open the .dmg, drag Orbit Finance to Applications, then open it normally.
- Windows: run the .exe. If SmartScreen appears, choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Android: open the .apk and allow installation from your browser or Files when prompted.
- Chromebook: enable Linux, choose the .deb for your chip, then install it from Files.
Paste your licence key
On first launch, paste the key from your purchase email. It is tied to your email and covers up to two devices.
Complete company setup
Enter company details, currency, financial year and business type. You can change these settings later.
Bring over existing records
Use Settings, then Data, to import existing records and opening balances before continuing your day-to-day work.
