What is the Financial Statements Pack for?
It creates the full statutory accounts document, including the cover, index, Directors' Report, and four financial statements with comparative figures. It outputs a single PDF marked DRAFT FOR AUDIT. The independent auditors' report is not included because only a licensed audit firm can issue that opinion.
How do I check if my pack is ready?
- In the sidebar under Books, press Financial Statements Pack.
- Pick the year in the dropdown at the top right.
- Read the four figures on the strip: Net result, Total assets, Comparative year and Directors.
- Read the yellow Before you send this to your auditor list for missing items.
- Clear gaps at their source in Settings under Business profile and Corporate info.
How do I write the Directors' report?
- In section 1, fill Principal activities, replacing any placeholder text.
- Press Draft with AI if you want a starting sentence, then read it carefully.
- Fill Reserves and provisions, and Dividends, confirming the defaults are true for your business.
- Choose Signing director 1 and Signing director 2 from the dropdowns.
- Choose the Declarant, which fills their NRIC from the register.
- Set the Signing city and the Signing date.
How do I review accounting policies?
- Open section 2, Accounting policies, and read the seven pre-written policies.
- Edit any policy text that does not match your actual business practice.
- Fill Critical judgements if there is any estimate a reader should know about.
- Press Save to keep your changes, or Reset narrative to defaults to start over.
How do I generate the PDF?
- Press Generate PDF to save your current wording and create the file.
- Choose where the file goes in the Save dialog.
- Check the cover for the DRAFT FOR AUDIT label.
- Check the comparative column to ensure prior year figures are present.
Does the pack lock my year's numbers?
No, nothing is frozen. Every number is recalculated from the ledger each time you load the screen. If you post a journal or transaction dated inside that year, the figures will change. You must generate the PDF again after any late entry to ensure your auditor has the correct version.
