How to use the Calendar to plan cash flow

The Calendar shows every dated money event on a monthly grid. It displays when invoices and bills fall due, plus recurring renewals. Use it to check if you can pay next month's bills. It does not post to your accounts, but it helps you plan cash flow by showing expected money in and out.

What is the Calendar for?

It shows the future, not the past. It lists dates when money is supposed to move. This helps you see if you can pay bills next month. A profitable business can still run out of cash if invoices are unpaid. This screen shows that risk.

How do I read the month?

  1. Press Calendar in the sidebar to open the current month.
  2. Read the top cards for Expected in, Expected out, and Net this month.
  3. Check the Overdue card if it appears and deal with it first.
  4. Look for crowded days where many items fall due on the same date.
  5. Use the arrows to move months forward or back.

How do I identify event types?

  1. Green events are money in, such as invoices due.
  2. Yellow events are money out, such as bills due.
  3. Red or pink events are overdue and unpaid.
  4. Click any event to jump to its source screen.

How do I filter the view?

  1. Use the dropdown at the top right to filter events.
  2. Select Money in to see what should reach you.
  3. Select Money out to see what you must pay.
  4. Select Overdue to see unpaid items in both directions.

How do I use the compliance calendar?

  1. Choose Compliance to see statutory duties matching your settings.
  2. Filter by authority and open a row to read details.
  3. Check the official source before relying on confirmation rows.

What this does to your books

Nothing on the Calendar screen posts. It is a view over records that already exist. Two things it shows do post later by themselves: a recurring expense writes a real cash out row on its date, and a recurring invoice creates a real invoice document on its date. Do not also key that recurring payment into Cash In and Out, or the money goes out twice.

Questions, answered

Does the Calendar post to my accounts?

No, the Calendar view itself changes nothing. Clicking an event only jumps to its source screen. Recurring items shown on it do act on their date, though: a recurring expense writes a real cash out row and a recurring invoice creates a real invoice.

What does a RM0.00 invoice mean?

It means the invoice is paid and settled. Invoices appear on the grid whether or not they have been paid. If the amount is zero, the entry is just history.

What is a Needs confirmation row?

It is a compliance duty that has no calculated date or amount yet. It comes from an unverified register row. You should use the official source or an adviser before relying on it.
