What is Cash Summary for?
This report groups your cash book entries by category and month. It helps you see which months had money coming in, which costs are growing, and if you ended the year with more cash. It is read only, so you cannot edit figures here. Every figure is limited to the fiscal year named under the title.
How do I read the year in three numbers?
- Open Money, then Cash Summary to see your current fiscal year.
- Read the Cash In, Cash Out, and Net Cash Flow cards at the top.
- Check the comparison with the year before, if the app has data for it. On Cash Out the comparison is inverted, because spending less is the good direction.
- Note that green Net Cash Flow means more money came in than went out.
How do I find the month something happened?
- Look at the chart under the cards to see monthly bars and the net line.
- Hover over any month to see the exact ringgit figures.
- Read the line, not just the bars: two tall bars close together mean a lot of money passed through, not that you made anything.
- Scroll to the pivot tables for exact figures if you need them.
How do I trace a category across the year?
- Scroll to the Cash In and Cash Out tables below the chart.
- Scroll sideways to reach later months while the category name stays pinned.
- Read the Total column for the year figure of that category.
- Check the bold bottom row for the total of every category in that month.
What if a number looks wrong?
- Note the category and month of the figure you doubt.
- Go to Cash In & Out and set the month filter to that month.
- Search the category name or sort by Cash In or Cash Out.
- Correct the transaction in Cash In & Out, then return to Cash Summary.
