What is Audit Prep for?
It is a self-review before a licensed external auditor looks at your books. It identifies obvious holes, such as missing receipts or unbalanced entries, to help you avoid an expensive audit. It is not an audit itself.
How do I run the review?
- Open Audit Prep and choose Readiness.
- Press Re-run review to check the current books.
- Read the score, which starts at 100 and loses points for open items.
- Work the must-fix items first, as they make accounts internally wrong.
What do the ten checks cover?
The checks include trial balance errors, unmapped categories, large payments of RM500 or more without receipts, future-dated transactions, negative balances, overdue receivables and payables, missing depreciation, and possible duplicate payments.
How do I clear a finding?
- Press the link button to go to the source record.
- Fix the issue in the named module.
- Return to Audit Prep and press Re-run review.
- Use Mark resolved or Ignore only for specific, justified cases.
How do I hand over the pack?
- Press Generate memo to create a plain-language readiness note.
- Read the memo, noting it is not an audit opinion.
- Press Export audit pack to zip schedules, findings, and documents.
- Send the zip file to your auditor.
