What is this module for?
It answers two questions: what am I worth, and what did I earn and spend. It is separate from business statements because household words and numbers differ from company accounts. It is also different from Customer Statements, which track what a customer owes you.
How do I read my net worth?
- Open the What you are worth tab.
- Read the big Net worth figure. It is green if you own more than you owe, red otherwise.
- Check the As at date. It is always today.
- Read What you own on the left and What you owe on the right.
- Verify that owned minus owed equals the net worth figure.
How do I check my income and spending?
- Press the Income and spending tab.
- Pick a year in the selector if needed.
- Read the headline. It says Kept this period or Short this period.
- Read the percentage under it to see your savings rate.
- Review the largest spending rows first.
How do I see whose money did what?
- Set the account type to Couple in Settings.
- Open the Income and spending tab.
- Scroll to the Whose money section.
- Read the lines for each partner and Joint.
- Check owner tags in Cash In & Out if a line looks wrong.
How do I save these statements?
- Set the year for the income statement if needed.
- Press Download PDF.
- Choose where to save the file and confirm.
- Read the on screen message for the file path.
