What is the acceptance form for?
It is the client's written confirmation that work was delivered and matches their request. It serves as evidence if a dispute arises later. It replaces reliance on silence or deemed acceptance clauses by making the sign-off explicit.
How do I raise the form?
- Press New acceptance form. Only issued Statements of Work are offered.
- Pick the Statement of Work being signed off. Client, reference, and deliverables are filled in automatically.
- Note that deliverables are copied, not linked. Revising the Statement of Work later does not change this form.
- Add delivery dates or notes, then save.
How do I record client decisions?
- Click the row to open the form. Each deliverable shows Accepted and Rejected options.
- Press the button matching the client's decision. The date is stamped automatically.
- Press the same button again to clear a decision if made in error while the form is a draft.
- Check the top line for a running count of accepted, rejected, and undecided items.
How do I issue and use the form?
- Press Issue once every deliverable has a decision. The app refuses if any remain undecided.
- Decisions are frozen after issuing. Changes require a revision, not an edit.
- Download PDF for the signed copy. It lists each deliverable, decision, date, and signature block.
- Open the Statement of Work and bill the stage this acceptance unlocked.
What does this do to my accounts?
Raising, deciding, or issuing the acceptance form posts nothing to your accounts. It carries no fee or payment schedule. The first accounting entry is the invoice you raise on the Statement of Work afterwards, which is a separate decision.
