Orbit POS

Shops and kiosks

A retail till for Malaysian shops.

For a counter that sells things: a mini market, a kedai runcit, a phone shop or a kiosk.

What does a retail shop need from a POS?

A retail shop needs a till that rings up items fast, takes cash, card, e-wallet and DuitNow, prints a receipt with SST worked out per line, and keeps stock right. Orbit POS Standard does that offline on your own Mac or Windows computer, with stock counts, a reorder list and expiry tracking built in.

What a shop gets

For a counter that sells things: a mini market, a kedai runcit, a phone shop or a kiosk.

  • A fast till

Search or scan, discount, hold a bill, split the payment, print. Voids need a reason and are logged.

  • Stock that adds up

Every movement is recorded, and on-hand figures are rebuilt from that history so the two never disagree.

  • Stock takes and reordering

Count the shelves on a count sheet, check the differences, then apply. A reorder list shows what to buy.

  • Sizes, colours and batches

Each variant is its own product with its own barcode, and the oldest batch sells first.

  • Shift close

Open with a float, count the drawer at close, and see the variance before you commit it.

Common questions

Does it work with a barcode scanner?

Products carry barcodes, and each size or colour variant gets its own, so a standard scanner that types into the till works for ringing up.

Can I import my existing product list?

Yes. Orbit POS imports a CSV with a dry run first, names every row it skips and why, and updates rather than duplicates on a second import.

Does it print receipts?

Yes, to 58mm and 80mm thermal receipt printers, with SST shown per line and reprints at any time.

Is it right for a chain of shops?

Several outlets on one catalogue is part of the Max edition. A single shop only needs Standard.
